The Budva’s Riviera occupies the central part of the Montenegrin Littoral, and covers an area of 122 square kilometers. Almost a quarter of the attractive coastal belt of Montenegro or 25 kilometers of the indented coast is occupied by the Budva Municipality, and the sand beaches cover 11, 310 square meters. Along the length of 25 kilometers 17 smaller and bigger sand beaches are arranged in a row, starting from Jaz on the north, to the beach in Buljarica, the far south of the Municipality of Budva.
Its geographical coordinates are 42°10'-42°20' N and 18°48'-19°00' E.
The Municipality of Budva has around 17,000 inhabitants. The biggest settlement is Budva with around 10,000 inhabitants, then Petrovac with 4,000 inhabitants, St. Stefan with almost 2,000, and Bečići, which is inhabited by around 1,500 people. Along the Riviera, some forty settlements, villages, and hamlets are arranged in a row. |
