Children really had a reason to be joyful this August. “Pozorisni val 2009” (“Theatre Wave 2009”) was prepared for them showing several performances with favorite children’s heroes which made them extremely happy. Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood, Enchanted Princess – all those are fairy-tales that follow generations of children and make them delighted; they were brought to life from their picture-books on the terrace of the “Palas” hotel in Petrovac, in a gorgeous atmosphere near the beach of Petrovac. There were seven theatre ensembles from Montenegro and Serbia that took part in the realisation of this programme: Children’s Theatre from Kragujevac, Herceg-Novi Theatre, Drama Studio from Budva, “Pinocchio” Puppet Theatre from Zemun, Vidovic Production, Children’s Cultural Centre and Theatre “Dusko Radovic” from Belgrade. They performed 11 theatre plays: Beauty and the Beast (10/08); The Curious Little Elephant (12/08); Milin poslic (14/08); Elusive Bunny (16/08); Enchanted Princess (17/08); Little Red Riding Hood (18/08); Bastijen and bastijena (20/08); Alice 2009 (22/08); Confession of a witch, (23/08); Just an ordinary diseases story (23/08); The Book of Wanders (24/08).
