Tickets for the festival "Mediterranean Song 2010" can be bought from the 31st of May in the information office of the Tourism board of Budva, in the old city. Ticket for one night costs 5€ , and the package for all three nights costs 15€.

Todays press confference anonced new information in the program of the International mediteranean song contest „Song of the Mediteranean 2010“. The Director of the Festival proudly presented the final list of 36 competitors in thisyears cmpetition.
With special pleasure , besides the participation of famous music stars form the region, we can anouce that amoung the musitians are numerous youg and unfamuos artists who will present this comopsition to the audience, as well as the fact that of 36 artist , seven are Montenegrian.

Particular attention was given to the  ceremonial part who is the best and largest sice the begginig of the  event. In theree days we will have four concerts:

I night 04.06 concert of Lea Martina and Jadranke Jovanović
II night 05.06. concert in memoriam of Toše Proeski. Famuos artist will preform his songs followed by his band.
II night 06.06 concert of Ana Rucner and Tony Cetinski

All concerts will start anfer the end of the offical programm, exept the liast night. The famoust celloist , will preform during the voting proces, after which the winner will be pronounced and all the awards will be handed out. At the end of the night the famuos artist Tony Cetinski will preform infront the ancient walls.

We are certain that this selection will satify the audience.Concerts  infron oof the Old town are deffinitely a reason more for Budva to be the hot spot or the region again this year-said Armenko.

Today’s press conference announced the XVII Mediterranean music festival  ”Song of the Mediterranean” which will be held from the fourth until the sixth of June. The organizers of this years Festival are again the Tourism Board of Budva, Municipality of Budva, Hotel group “Budvanska Riviera” as well as the production house”Copyright” and TOB&Co.

General Manager of the Tourism Board of Budva, Ms. Jelena Rađenović expressed great satisfaction due to the forthcoming Festival in spite of difficult financial conditions and belief in successful organization and realization of this project. For this years budget the Tourism board allocated 50.000 €, while the municipality decided 90.000 € for this event.

More than 300 competors entered the competition that lasted from 10.12.2009 until 15.04.2010. who are , by the words of Aleksandar Armenko,  Director of the Festival a verification that the festival” Song of the  Mediterranean” became a popular brand in the region. The competors names imply the quality of our artistic team and also the trust that famous musicians and composers have-said Armenko. The artistic team set up of Maja Perfijeva, Milan Stupar and Đelo Jusić choose 32 compositions that will this year be presented in Budva.  All compositions at the XVII Mediterranean music festival”Song of the  Mediterranean” will be again this year presented live to the audience followed by the Mediterranean revial orchestra. Festivals media partner is the National Montenegrin Broadcaster RTVCG, that will live  broadcast the Festival. Partnership with numerous media houses will enable watching the event through all ex-Yu countries as well in Bulgaria.

Technical production will lead Megaton Company from Belgrade.

The organizers announced several innovations in the program especial in the scenery and scenario. They also announced that this years moderators will be the famous acting and married couple,Ana Sofrenović and Dragan Mićanović.

After the session of the Organizing Committee of the music festival "Song of the Mediterranean 2010” it was decided that due to the large interest of performers, composers and lyricists, both domestic and abroad, the competition for new compositions is extended to 15.04. 2010.

The fourth “September Fest”, the Festival of folklore, majorettes and brass bands will be held on 19 and 20 September on Rondo II , the swimming-pool of the “Slovenska plaza” hotel. The festival is made up of two festival nights, while its programmes start at 09.00 pm. This international festival is more and more visited each year, so this year there will be some Ensembles from almost all the countries of the region.

In the Memorial Home of Rezevici, on 6th September with the beginning at 05.00 pm, there will be held the second manifestation named “Fig Festival”. It tends to save from oblivion the tradition of growing figs, but also to promote this very nutritious and healthy fruit that can be found in abundance especially in the rural part of the Municipality of Budva.

The Municipality of Budva, Tourist Organisation of Budva, HTP Budvanska Rivijera, and Copyright Ltd. are pleased to present The II Festival of Street Groups - Montenegro Busker Fest. Performers - coming from various countries, from four corners of the globe, possesing various skills-will present themselves to audience in very unusual way in the streets and squares. With no rigorous rules they will find a place to set, where ever there are crowds interested to watch and enjoy their "mischief" and there are many of them and they are quite unbelivable! You can come and see it foryourself. The time is from the 10th to 20th of June and the place is - the streets and squares of Budva and Petrovac. Welcome!

The contract was signed with the management of Ana Oxa, who will perform on the 6th of June 2009 on the Song of the Mediterranean as a Special Guest Star.

(14.05.2009) 36 songs were choosen

36 songs were choosen out of 180 that arrived.  The members of decision board Mrs. Maja Perfiljeva, Mr. Milan Stupar and Mr. Djelo Jusic have choosen 32 songs that will take part at the competition -  starting on 5th of June and ending with the final on 7th of June.

The board have decided that this year we will issue a duble CD with 36 competiting songs in cooperatio with Croatia Radio Television and PGP RTS – the record company.

(07.05.2009) Arsen Dedic Concert on the Song of the Mediterranean

Famous singer Arsen Dedic will perform in Budva on 7th of June 2009. Concert will start at 11.30 p.m.

Agreement about direct broadcasting and the follow up on all Festival happenings is signed. Intensive media campaign starts on 5th of May and it marks a long term partnership with RTCG.

(02.05.2009.) Indexi and Friends – If I was the one (Da sam ja netko)

Indexi and Friends will perform on the first night of the festival at 11 p.m. All guests will be entertained with excelente music performed by: Guliano, Hari Mata Hari, Arsen Dedić, Kaliopi, Mladen Vojčić Tifa, Aki Rahimovski, Dado Topić, Irina Kapetanović, Massimo, Zoran Predin, Boris Novković, Anja Mašanović i Indexi.

(20.04.2009)GASTRO&WINE FEST 2009

This year Gastro&Wine Festival will be held in Slovenska Plaza at the Rondo I swimming pool on 22nd and 23rd of May with the start at 7 p.m. Our visitors and tourists will be able to taste all sorts of delicious local dishes which will be made by local restaurants, hotels and skillful housemaids. Next to them the local wineries will present various wines for free wine tasting. The aim of this Festival is to promote local produce. Music group Castel Nuovo will make sure that our guests will be entertained with good music and in good mood. Everyone is welcome! 

(16.04.2009)THE SONG OF THE MEDITERRANEAN OPEN COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

This year over 150 songs have arrived at the open competition. Our music board will make sure that the best 36 of them will be chosen. At the moment our Music Producer Milan Stupar along with Art Director Djelo Jusic are very pleased with it’s quality and they are promising the best Festival so far. Songs were arriving from nearly all Mediterranean countries such as: Spain, Malta, Cyprus, Greece, Italy etc. All lovers of good Mediterranean sound will be enjoying this Festival and find their own favorite summer song.

This year our company Copyright ltd. were presenting in Belgrade along side with the Tourist Organisation of Budva. This Fair was visited by many people not only from Serbia but also world wide. Our event „Budva’s Summer“ again attracted a lot of attention and this confirms our expectations that this event will be once more really successful.

The Festival of Folklore, Marching and Brass-bands otherwise known as „September Fest“

(28.09. and 29.09. at the Rondo II swimming pool with the beginning at 8pm.) This festival represents the culmination of our „Summer in Budva“ schedule. For two nights we revelled in the music of brass-bands and the folklore and marching performances. We feel confident enough to state that this manifestation was one of the most popular and successful in the region, comprising 840 members in 24 groups from 7 countries (Hungary,Bulgaria, Latvia, Slovakia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Montenegro). Some of these members have been the recipient of prestigious awards in their field. The event managed to attract over 5000visitors, both local and foreign.

Fig Festival

(6. septembar 2008, Rezevici) This one-day festival comemorates to fig tree, one of the oldest fruits in this region, and one of those found in the Garden of Eden . The tree was first mentioned in teh scripts of Babylon and it was famous for it’s medical qualities. The fig was also Cleopatra’s favorite fruit, and it was presented as a reward to early Olimpian atletes. The festival to promote this wonderful fruit tree, which grows abundantly in the region, but which is often under-appreciated.

Children’s Festival „Pozorisni val“

(Petrovac 16.08. – 27.09.) The Children’s festival was organised as part of „Summer in Budva“. It gave our younger audience a chance to enjoy the culture happenings too. To the great satisfaction, the auditorium was packed with happy, smiling faces. Over 3000 children visited the festival.

Wine Festival Budva

(2008 22.09. – 24.09.) This festival was held at the „Rondo II“ swimming pools. Both larger and smaller wineries had their chance to present themselves to a wider audience. On nicely decorated counters, free wine tasting was offered to everyone. The goal of this festival was not only to promote regional wines, but also foreign wines that are offered on our market.

Gastro Festival

(Budva 2008 22.09. – 24.09) This was of the most visited festivals this summer with over 15 000 visitors over a three night period. It started at 7 p.m. and took place at the Rondo II swimming pools. The idea of this festival was that everyone would have a nice time, with chefs cooking their culinary specialities and visitors tasting them. There were three cuisines presented: Night of traditional cuisine, Vegetarian cuisine and Sea specialities.

Cinemania

(02.07. – 25.09. Rondo II swimmingpooles, Slovenska Plaza) This festival was visited by over 8.500 people. This project showed us that both tourists and the local inhabitants are very keen on this kind of entertaiment. With this festival, Budva has joined the ranks of famous cinematic cities.

Festival of the Montenegrin music heritage "Summer Music"

(25.06. – 25. 09. Budva Old city, Petrovac and Slovenska plaza) The event, which has already become well-established indeed, something of a tradidion, is basically a festival of Montenegrin harmony-singing groups, artistic and cultural societies, domestic music groups, etc.,which runs throughout the summer. since this is the project particularly attractive to foreign tourists, it is logical that they are the most loyal audience at performances of the participants in this program such as klapa „castel nuovo“, kud ,,s. m. ljubiša“, klapa „harmonija“, klapa „bisernice boke“, kud „aluminijum“, gradska muzika budve i klapa „assa voce“ with over 33 performances in total.

Festival of Ethno Mediterranean Music Hotel Palas, Petrovac, Rondo II Swimming pools-Slovenska plaza and Squares in the Old town

This festival showcased the performances of foreign interpreters of ethno Mediterranean music throughout the summer. In this way not only the inhabitants of Budva, but also tourists have the opportunity to see and hear Portuguese Fado music, French groups from the Mediterranean coast, Greek music troupes, Italian music, etc.

KADMOPOLIS

In our view one of the most interesting of the festivals. Participants were dressed as Roman, Greek, Venetian and Austro- Hungarian citizens, and were extremely popular among tourists.

MONTENEGRO BUSKER FEST 2008 - FESTIVAL OF STREET TROUPS

11.06. – 19.06. on the streent and squares in Budva
Montenegro Busker Fest is a potpourri of performances from street artists, in interaction with the audience, on improvised stages, which was held in Budva for the first time this year. This ten-day event has definitely raised the level of the tourist offering of Budva, and has closed the gap between our town and other European metropolises, such as Barcelona, Rome, London, etc. The positive reaction of the numerous audiences, but also of the media, is arguably a guarantee that this Festival will have its place in the rich cultural and artistic program of the Montenegrin tourist region for the years to follow.

PRESS CONFERENCE

(09.06.2008.) At the press conference, held on Monday, on June 9, it was announced that, at the 15th Festival “The Song of the Mediterranean 2008”, 36 works from Montenegro, the countries of the former Yugoslavia, then Hungary, Israel, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, and San Marino will compete.

The competing part will consist of, so to say, two segments –a part with the interpreters from the territory of the former Yugoslavia, and a part with the musicians from the other Mediterranean countries.

In the course of the first two semifinal evenings, the professional jury will be deciding about the finalists, while, apart from the jury, the votes of the public and SMS votes will be deciding on the winner to a considerable extent.

In the show-biz part, the so-far winners of the Festival will sing - Slobodan Kovačević, the group “Macadam”, Marija Šerifović, Saša Vasić, Dado Topić, Tanja Banjanin, Bisera Veletanlić, Marijana Zlopaša and others.

The price of tickets, which will be available for sale as of June 15, is EUR 10 for the first and the third evening and EUR 15 for the second Festival evening.

After a number of years of search for its identity, and the change of the name and the concept, „THE SONG OF THE MEDITERRANEAN“ goes back to the Mediterranean and Budva under the leadership of the new organizational team headed by the Company COPYRIGHT from Budva and Aleksandar Armenko, the General Manager of the event „Budva Summer“ within the complement of which the actual Festival is organized.

Of the Municpality of Budva, HTP Budvanska rivijera AD, and the Tourist Organization of the Municpality of Budva with the Company COPYRIGHT, Ltd. have established the biggest ever conceived project in Montenegro – the event  "Budva Summer", which within its contents merges a series of cultural and entertaining festivals. The primary goal of the project "Budva Summer" is raising of the level of the tourist offer and return to the authentic values and the heritage of Budva and Montenegro.
